Alternative Sources of Funding

Eligibility for Regional Selective Assistance (RSA) has recently been extended to the whole of Scotland. Depending on the location, grants to assist with capital expenditure are now available at rates ranging from 10 to 35%. Our recent experience has shown there are now far fewer hoops to jump through to secure the grant.

Henderson Loggie Financial Services Ltd* outline how directors’ pension funds can also be used to ease cash flow problems.

Henderson Loggie is a Corporate Partner of the LINC angel network. Across Scotland we have a team of specialists who have a track record of working in close partnership with companies seeking equity investment from business angels. We anticipate this type of funding may prove more difficult to secure in the future so now could be the best time to explore this with us.

Maximise After Tax Profit

In the current climate it is important for businesses to ensure that they are maximising their after tax profit. We look at some of the ways in which this is possible.

Investment Options

Henderson Loggie Financial Services Ltd* highlight some alternative options available investors who want to avoid the daily fluctuations of the stock market investment.

Business Payment Support Service

A reminder that in response to the current economic conditions HM Revenue & Customs have introduced a dedicated Business Support Service. The help line provides support seven days a week to taxpayers anticipating difficulties in meeting tax, National Insurance, VAT and other liabilities.

Certificates of Tax Deposit

Certificates of Tax Deposit can be purchased for future tax settlements. They may therefore be of interest to personal tax clients with anticipated high tax liabilities, who wish to gain certainty that they will have the funds to pay their liability when the time comes.

E-mail Scams

HM Revenue & Customs have published details on their website of the latest e-mail scams purporting to come from them.
